Sir Knights of St. Lucie Commandery No. 17 proudly represented the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of Florida by presenting the Colors during the City of Vero Beach’s Independence Day Parade, joining their community in celebrating both our nation’s birthday and the beginning of America’s 250th Anniversary commemorations.
Held along historic 14th Avenue in downtown Vero Beach, the Independence Day celebration brought together thousands of residents and visitors for a day of patriotism and community pride. The parade featured colorful patriotic floats, veterans organizations, civic groups, marching units, and local businesses celebrating the freedoms enjoyed by generations of Americans.
The festivities also included an antique automobile display presented by the Indian River AACA Club near the historic railroad station and a special commemorative cake honoring the nation’s 250th birthday inside the Community Center. The day’s celebration concluded with a spectacular Independence Day fireworks display over Vero Beach.
