In 48 B.C., during the Siege of Alexandria, the armies of Julius Caesar set fire to the legendary Great Library of Alexandria, destroying thousands of scrolls, sacred texts, and irreplaceable works of ancient knowledge.

Historians believe the loss was immeasurable. Countless discoveries, philosophies, traditions, and mysteries vanished forever, leaving humanity only to wonder what wisdom disappeared with them.
